As the name suggests, this film is a representation of a regular middle class family problems. The expenses surpass
the resources or the incomes i.e. Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya. Padmalay Telefilms Pvt. Ltd’s film
AAKR is a kind of Hindi version of
the south Indian hit film "Kshemanga Velli Lambhanga Raandi".
The story revolves around four couples – Chandrachur Singh & Tabu, Vinay Ananad & Isha Koppikar, Johny
Lever & Ketaki Dave and finally Govinda & Juhi Chawla who join in
later to lead the story.
The former three husbands work in a garage. Their expenses are always
more than what they earn. They have such habits that they have to borrow money from anyone
and everyone. The wives are fed-up with the situation and face difficulty in their day-to-day
expenses. The three are so annoyed that they declare to shed the responsibility of looking after the
family until their husbands deliver them their full salary. In the meanwhile, the later couple joins. Juhi explains the wives
to share the problem with their husbands and should start working themselves. The wives gather courage to discuss this with their
husbands, but fail. The husbands don’t like their wives working. One day, the husbands loose their jobs after a
quarrel at the garage. So, the wives take up jobs only to see the doors of their houses. Finally Govinda and Juhi join the story and
abruptly you see the unexpected changes.
Ultimately the films take a melodramatic change. Find out what happens then? Watch AAKR in a theatre near you.
The story of the film is too weak. The problem with the concept is that the makers have made fun out of
the harsh realities. The songs are poor too and too lengthy. People
who like Govinda and Johny lever may like the film.
The Govinda fans maybe disappointed in this movie.
