Hrithik Roshan, Amisha Patel
Mohan Kumar's 'Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage' directed by Vikram Bhatt is
one of the most awaited flick. Being a hit pair’s movie (Hrithik & Amisha) there’s lot
being expected out of the movie. The movie is directed by Vikram Bhatt whose current
releases Ghulam, Raaz have been super hits.
Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage tells the story of Sapna (Amisha Patel), who
is overprotected by her father Dholakia (Kiran Kumar), an underworld king and a
short tempered brother Raman (Mukesh Tiwari), who is always there by her side to
protect her. It is only when Sapna encounters Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) during the
nine days of 'dandiya raas', that she realizes what an isolated life she has been living.
------
Rohit is fun loving and full of life. Its him who makes her realize what life means and
how colourful life can be. She is now in love with him and cannot do without him.
Traditional Bollywood movie, where parents are problem.
Amisha's father opposes the relationship. The story gets more complicated when
Kiran Kumar announces Amisha's engagement with his friend's son. Now the couple
fights for each other's love.
In the second half the film seems to drift from the actual story, Amisha presence in
the boy's hostel, which is not needed. The story is guessed by now. It’s a
typical Bollywood flick.
Vikram Bhatt tries hard to make the film watchable by his professional tips but
the audience lose patience's until the lovebirds confess their love.
Rajesh Roshan's music fail to impress if compared to his earlier scores, song
like 'Hawaon Ne Ye Kaha' may leave a mark.
Hrithik Roshan gives excellent performance and looks handsome as always. Very
swiftly, he manipulates the most ordinary scene's into the most extra-ordinary
manner. Amisha Patel does well in a few scenes, but in other's... Kiran Kumar
is successful. Nishigandha, as Amisha's sister-in-law, excels. Mukesh Tiwari
is very artificial.
Stunts by Abbas Ali Moghul are skillfully handled, especially towards the
climax. Pravin Bhatt's cinematography is eye-catching. Dialogues by Girish
Dhamija are very simple, heard before kind. Special effects are tacky.
Even after the backing of the very successful 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', Vikram
Bhatt directed 'Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage' fails to create the same
magic. On an whole, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage is an average film. Curious
audience may have to go back home dishearten.
