Andaaz is one more of the predictable love triangles. Produced by Suneel Darshan, the movie has it all, but a novel
script. If not for the beauty queens, the movie would have been a disaster.
Well, let's start of with the story… Akshay Kumar (Raj) and Lara Dutta (Kaajal) are two childhood friends. Raj has a problem, he
limps, but being a bollywood movie, our hero is all right, thanks to encouragment from Kaajal. Raj falls in love with Kaajal
(too obvious), thinking that she too loves him.
Kaajal loves to fly in planes, and Raj decides to join Air Force so that he can fly Kaajal across the globe. While Raj is away, Kaajal
falls in love with an Industrialist Aman Verma (Karan Singhania). Raj approves of their marriage, and fly off to South
Africa for further training.
Exit Lara and in comes Priyanka Chopra (Jiya). Akshay meet Priyanka Chopra in South Africa. What next? You
guessed it right.. Priyanka falls in love with Akshay, but Akshay prefers to ignore her and pays no heed to her. Priyanka too is
determined and refused to give up.
Akshay returns to India, Priyanka too follows him. Finally Akshay agrees and they decide to marry.
------
Wait, wait.. that's not the end, here comes the twist, and in comes Kaajal.. and along comes bundles of problems between the three
characters.
Of the cast, Akshay is not upto his potential and one could expect better from Akshay. While both the new comers, Lara Dutta and
Priyanka Chopra are good in their roles. Of the two, Priyanka steals with a mix of sexy outfits and performance. Aman Verma
is fit for the role.
Director Raj Kanwar, handles the script badly, expect for few of the scenes here and there. Music by Nadeem
Shravan, is another plus in the movie, which are few of the face savers.
Verdict :Andaaz is another love triangle without a good script and direction.
