Old wine in a new bottle. New songs, new actors, new locale, but
same old story.
Vashu Bhagnani's Deewaanapan is all about a poor boy falling
in love with rich girl.
Suraj (Arjun Rampal) a small town hero staying in Dalhousie, falls
in love with a city girl Kiran Choudhary (Diya Mirza) when she
comes to a picnic to Dalhousie.
Well the good days comes to an end soon with the entry of girls
father Ranvir Choudhary (Vinod Khanna). Ranvir, a quite influential person has
big plans for this daughter and cannot see his girl fall in love with a
small time hero.
Not much to say.. our hero tries to break all barriers. Dishum.. Dishum
between Suraj and Ranvir and finally the film ends on a happy
note (as usual).
Arjun Rampal is great to watch with all the loads of muscles, but
not worth at acting. Diya Mirza is gorgeous, and has improved a bit.
Vinod Khanna & Om Puri are good at the roles played.
Some of the songs try to bring a break in boring story, but overall the
songs too are not worth. Music by Adesh Shrivastava is not that
appealing.
A movie, which is worth Arjun & Diya only, maybe it might attract
the young fans.
