Ehsaas, a father-son relationship story, is set in simple locales in Goa. Ravi (Sunil Shetty) is a government employee and Rohan (Rahul), his little son, who is over burdened
with the task of becoming the best athlete at any cost. To achieve this task, Ravi becomes a merciless taskmaster whose
only concern seems to be a race that Rohan has to win. Rohan is dragged away from his father with hatred. Rohan
tries his level best to achieve the task but sadly, fails
everytime and faces his fathers hatred.
Antara (Neha) is a pretty girl, a widow, who lives with her mother-in-law (Kiron Kher) in the neighbouring. Antara
has now Ravi in her heart, and Rohan is Antara's best friend and is very annoyed
with Ravi for being so harsh to Rohan.
Rohan meets with an accident just few days before the inter school athletic meet which Ravi wants him to win, but now is rarely
possible because Rohan is too injured to run. In the meantime, Antara's father wants her to get married again to someone from
US. Rohan runs the race with all the stitches and pains to
fulfill his fathers dreams, and ends up a close second.
Sunil Shetty has given a great performance, or one can say Mahesh Manjrekar is successful in extracting the best from him. Neha looks beautiful and
has performed well too. Rahul, though quite young, has acted naturally. The overall
performance by the other cast is also good.
Had the film been released couple of weeks earlier, it could have had a safe bet. Nonetheless,
it is worth a see for parents and children if not the teens.
